There are two types of business plans: One to impress bankers and another to help you realize the full potential of your business. Your Roadmap to Success is the latter and helps you develop a strategic plan to successfully grow your dream business.
Initial Appointment: Intake Session
Before we dig deep into the program, we start with an initial intake session. During our session, we’ll talk more about the coaching program and you’ll share a bit about your business.
Week 1: Establish Goals
During our official first week, we’ll look at the big picture. That is, what’s your long-term vision for your business. Understanding where you want to go and why will be a starting point for setting goals that help you accomplish your end objective.
Week 2: Map Your Business
Every business has a story. That’s why in week two, we look at the past, present, and future of your business. We’ll analyze how key events have shaped your business and opportunities for growth.
Week 3: Solidify Your Vision
In week 3, we focus on your vision. Your vision acts as your far reaching goal and helps guides you in making major decisions for your company.
Week 4: Develop Your Mission Statement
Who? What? and Why? That’s the focus of this week. During week 4, we clarify your offer, your ideal customers, and why you’re in the business that you’re in. It’s your clear messages that’ll be a key element in attracting customers.
Week 5: Put Your Vision into Action
By week 5, you’ve gained a lot of clarity about your business and the direction you want to take it. Now it’s time to put that vision into motion. To do that, we work on an action plan to progress your business from where it is now to where you want it to go.
Week 6: Crush Barriers
Life isn’t perfect. Sometimes we run into roadblocks, sometimes we create roadblocks for ourselves. In week 6, we address issues that might be holding you back from your dream business and work through solutions to move you past barriers.
Week 7: Assess Your Business
In week 7, we put together an inventory of your business’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). That is, what are the internal and external factors that affect your business.
Week 8: SWOT Analysis
Once you’re generated your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, we complete a SWOT Analysis. This is where we do a deep exploration of how the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats affect your business.
Week 9: Leverage Your Strengths
In week 7 & 8, you looked at your strengths. Now it’s time to take what you’ve learned and create new opportunities for business based on the strengths of your business. Think of this as an intense brainstorming session aimed at opening doors.
Week 10: Address Your Weaknesses
Every person and every business has limitations. However, those limitations don’t have to hold your business back. We look at those weaknesses and develop solutions to minimize or turn them into non-issues for your business.
Week 11: Running the Triathlon
When it comes to running a successful small business, you are a business triathlete. You don’t just wake up one morning a triathlon winner. You consistently prepare and work your way toward that goal. Week 11, I give you tools to consistently hit those goals.
Week 12: Troubleshoot & Wrap-up
In the final week, we focus on any troublesome issues you encounter while working toward your goals and address any concerns you might have. Then we look at next steps to keep you progressing toward your dream business.
Bonus Session: One-month Accountability
I’m not going to leave you hanging. Sure, you’ll have the tools to accomplish your goals. However, it helps to have a bit of accountability. One month after you finish the program, we’ll touch base again. I’ll be eager to hear your wins and be there to coach you through any challenges you might have faced while we were apart.
