Step 4: Funding Research

Not sure where to go for funding? That’s okay. I’ve got you covered. I provide you resources, so you know where the money is. Plus, you’ll receive tips on how to network and uncover even more sources of funding. The money is out there. You just have to know where to go and position yourself to obtain it.

Step 5: Business Plan

By step 5, you’ve already most of the information you need to create a fabulous business plan. Now it’s about putting it together in a way banks want to see it. I don’t leave you hanging. I provide templates, so you can paint a pretty picture for investors.

Step 6: Finalize Documentation

You’ve got a business plan and financial projections ready for investors. Hand them over to me, and I review them. You’ll get feedback and suggestions to incorporate into your documents, so you can go to investors with your best foot forward.

Step 7: Bank Preparation & Applications

At last! You’re ready to hit the banks, fill out applications, and contact other investors for funding. Before you head off to wow them, I provide tips to increase your chances, answer questions you might have, and help you prepare.

Step 8: Follow-up and Best Practices

We end this leg of the journey with a follow-up session of your interactions with investors and bankers. I leave you with best practices and helpful tips and determine your next steps going forward.

Week 7: Assess Your Business

In week 7, we put together an inventory of your business’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT). That is, what are the internal and external factors that affect your business.

Week 8: SWOT Analysis

Once you’re generated your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, we complete a SWOT Analysis. This is where we do a deep exploration of how the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats affect your business.

Week 9: Leverage Your Strengths

In week 7 & 8, you looked at your strengths. Now it’s time to take what you’ve learned and create new opportunities for business based on the strengths of your business. Think of this as an intense brainstorming session aimed at opening doors.

Week 10: Address Your Weaknesses

Every person and every business has limitations. However, those limitations don’t have to hold your business back. We look at those weaknesses and develop solutions to minimize or turn them into non-issues for your business.

Week 11: Running the Triathlon

When it comes to running a successful small business, you are a business triathlete. You don’t just wake up one morning a triathlon winner. You consistently prepare and work your way toward that goal. Week 11, I give you tools to consistently hit those goals.

Week 12: Troubleshoot & Wrap-up

In the final week, we focus on any troublesome issues you encounter while working toward your goals and address any concerns you might have. Then we look at next steps to keep you progressing toward your dream business.
