One of the things my husband is fond of saying is, “You can’t afford my free time.”  My husband used to say this when people asked him how much it’d cost them for him to fix their stuff during his off time. It reminds me of a quote by Oprah Winfrey:

“All the money in the world doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t have time to enjoy it.”

When I think of work-life balance, both my husband and Oprah are so right. We can work ourselves to death, accumulating money. However, if our life isn’t enjoyable, what’s the point? There’s a a balance. Yes, money can bring comfort, yet how comfortable are we if we’re working so hard we can’t enjoy the comforts in life?
